Sarandë/The operations to crack down on the criminal activity of providing assistance for illegal border crossing continue.
The coded police operation “Border 10”, developed by the Sarandë Police Station, is finalized.
The 38-year-old man was arrested for transporting 33 immigrants with a pickup truck, who were going to cross illegally into the EU countries, against payment. The vehicle used to transport the immigrants is seized.
The services of the Sarandë Police Station, following the operations focused on preventing, identifying and cracking down on giving assistance to immigrants from third countries, against payments, to cross the border illegally, based on the information provided by the intelligence, have finalized the police operation coded “Border 10”, for hitting another case of this illegal activity.
As a result of this operation, ES citizen, 28 years old, resident of Lushnja, was arrested.
This citizen was caught red-handed during the operation, by the services of the Sarandë Police Station, in the place called Ura e Çuka, Sarandë, transporting 33 immigrants in a pickup truck type vehicle, against payment, who were going to cross illegally into EU countries -‘s.
The vehicle was seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Sarandë Judicial District Court, for further action, for the criminal offense “Aiding illegal border crossing”.
