Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) confused her Jewish holy days on Sunday, requested ridicule and criticism on social media.
Highlighted in green Yom Kippur with an image of a Hanukkah menorah.
“To all who are preparing for the solemn day of Yom Kippur, I wish you a meaningful fast,” Greene captioned the photo on X, formerly Twitter.
Ms. Jewish Space Lasers mixed up her Jewish holidays (that’s a Hanukkah menorah). Very offensive – especially on the holiest day of the year in Judaism. pic.twitter.com/Wa0WcXitKI

The post has since been deleted (not before it went viral) and replaced without the photo:

Rep. Jared Moscowwitz (D-Fla.) led the criticism.
‘That’s a picture for Hanukkah. Several Jewish holidays,” he wrote. “On Yom Kippur you atone for your sins. God knows you’ll be very busy.’
That’s a picture for Hanukkah. Different Jewish holiday. On Yom Kippur you atone for your sins. God knows you’ll be very busy. https://t.co/gFJHO0MD07

Greene has been that before condemned by Jewish groups for airing anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. She is introduced Jewish space lasers were to blame for forest fires, a pandemic compared public health measures related to the Holocaust and spoke at a white nationalist rally with Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes.
Your annual PSA that buying stock photos to wish your Jewish voters before a Jewish holiday without checking with an actual Jew first will most likely make you look like an idiot.
That Menorah won’t come for another two months. https://t.co/5Sgwogl1n5
