An agent of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA) who resisted the theft of her car killed one of the two criminals who tried to steal her car with a bullet to the head, in the Merlo district of Buenos Aires, sources from the police reported this Saturday. force.
The event occurred on Friday night at the corner of Habana and Mario Bravo, in the town of Libertad, in the district of the western zone of Greater Buenos Aires, where the police circulated, dressed as civilians and on duty, aboard a Fiat Argo car.
Police spokespersons reported that, under these circumstances, she was surprised by two young men who were walking around the area and who intimidated her with a firearm to steal her vehicle.
The assailants forced the woman to get off the vehicle and began to search her, at which point they took her cell phone.
Moments later, they found his service weapon and a shootout ensued that ended when one of the thieves fell badly injured to the ground, while his accomplice fled.
The police immediately notified 911 and members of the Merlo Patrol Command came to the scene, who verified the presence of the injured offender. He had a bullet wound to his head and was lying unconscious.
As a result, an ambulance was requested, which later transferred the assailant, who had not yet been identified, to the Eva Perón hospital, where he finally died.
A short .22 caliber revolver belonging to the thieves was kidnapped at the crime scene, police sources reported.
