It happened at one of the Metrobus stops. The officer fired twice. Another of the criminals managed to escape.

A City Police officer killed a thief this Thursday who tried to rob him while he was getting on a bus, at a Metrobus stop in Bajo Flores. The offender was with an accomplice, who managed to escape.

The event was recorded on Thursday night in Bonorino and Fernández de la Cruz avenue. There was an officer from the 8A Neighborhood Police Station of the City Police, who had finished working.

Around 10 at night, while he was waiting for a bus on line 143 in the direction of Pompeii, two criminals tried to steal his backpack when he was getting on the unit that had arrived at the stop.

The thieves pointed at the policeman while trying to get his backpack. The struggle continued and the three got off the bus. Once downstairs, the officer identified himself as a police officer and called to stop.

According to the police report, after identifying himself, he fired two shots, one of which hit the criminal, who fell wounded in the dock. He was later transferred by SAME to the Piñero hospital, where death was confirmed.

After the shots were fired, residents of the neighborhood approached the stop and began to rebuke the officer, who must have been escorted by other comrades in force.

At the scene, a 32-caliber revolver was seized, which was going to be examined. The officer, for his part, was assisted by the Single Corps of Psychologists

The deceased offender had a criminal record. Among other cases, he had a robbery with possession of a weapon of war, in February 2021, and threats, in March of this year.

The National Criminal and Correctional Court 14, in charge of Dr. Uniardo, secretary 143 of Dr. Segunde, ordered the intervention of the Argentine Federal Police and to maintain the safekeeping of the weapon.
