A policeman who was in civilian clothes in the town of Luis Guillón, in the Buenos Aires district of Esteban Echeverría, shot an alleged 16-year-old motorcyclist who tried to assault him with an accomplice.

The event occurred on Saturday at the intersection of Sardi and Almafuerte streets in that town in the south of the suburbs, where the troops from the 2nd police station arrived, after being alerted by a 911 call about an armed confrontation.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police officers met with a 55-year-old man who said that, moments before, he was surprised by two people who were traveling on a motorcycle with presumed robbery intentions.

According to the sources, one of the occupants of the vehicle got out of it, brandished a firearm and pointed it at the victim, who identified himself as a policeman, took out his service weapon and fired two shots.

One of the criminals was injured a few meters away, while the accomplice managed to flee.

At the scene, the police found that the young man was without vital signs, with a gunshot wound to his face at nose level and that, under his body, he had a silver-colored replica pistol.

The spokesmen specified that the victim of the robbery was unharmed and the troops seized the regulation pistol and two 9-millimeter caliber pods served.

The Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 8 of the Lomas Zamora Judicial Department intervened in the case, requesting the presence of a Police Doctor and Scientific Police to carry out the corresponding expertise.

A gendarme killed a motorcycle and injured another in El Jagüel

One motochorro died and another was seriously injured in early March, after shooting with a policeman who wanted to steal his motorcycle in El Jagüel, a town that also belongs to Esteban Echeverría.

The event occurred at the corner of Entre Ríos and Miguel Ángel. Police spokesmen reported that a 52-year-old assistant sergeant of the Argentine National Gendarmerie (GNA) who worked as a driver in the municipality of Ezeiza, was traveling aboard his Bajaj motorcycle.

Upon reaching the intersection, the gendarme was surprised by two young men who were riding a Rouser motorcycle without a license plate. The companion threatened him with a firearm to make him hand over his shot.

Faced with this situation, the gendarme identified himself as such and took out his service weapon, after which there was a brief shooting that ended when both criminals were shot, one fatally.

As a result of the shots he suffered, the criminal who was accompanying the motorcycle, identified by the Buenos Aires Police as Agustín Romero, 19, died instantly.

While his accomplice, identified as Mario Elías Pérez (20) received a bullet wound to the chest and another to the head, for which he was transferred to a nearby hospital, where he remained hospitalized in a reserved state.

Meanwhile, the gendarme was unharmed, reported sources in the case.
