It happened at the time the students were leaving school. The target of the attack is believed to have been the child’s father.
Once again Rosario is in the news for a shooting attack at a school. This time it happened in the Empalme Graneros neighborhood, where a child was shot this Tuesday afternoon after two men on a motorcycle opened fire on the José Ortolani school.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the Genoa and Cullen area, when the school was in full activity schedule. As a result of the attack, a boy who attends that school was injured.
The 6-year-old minor suffered a minor injury to one of his legs and was transferred to the North Zone Children’s Hospital. He is currently stable, while the pertinent studies are carried out to evaluate his state of health in depth.
According to unofficial versions, it is suspected that the target of the attack could have been the boy’s father, who was there to pick him up at the end of the school day.
After the incident, the Radioelectric Command managed to arrest one of the suspects in the La Cerámica neighborhood. The individuals tried to escape on the motorcycle, but were intercepted by the authorities. During the arrest, it was found that the suspect was carrying a 9-millimeter pistol and a cell phone that he tried to destroy at the time of arrest.
This worrying event, which caused great consternation in the neighborhood due to its extreme violence, is added to other attacks that occurred in schools in the city.
They shot a school in Rosario for the second time and left a threat: “We are going to continue killing people”
Less than ten days ago, a school was shot at for the second time in two months by unknown persons who left a threatening note addressed to the personnel of the provincial Penitentiary Service. The attack occurred despite the fact that custody had been reinforced in the area.
The attack took place on Tuesday night, around 11 p.m., at the Castellano-Qom Bilingual Educational Complex located on Sabin and Juan B. Justo streets in the Toba neighborhood, in the north of Rosario.
“Piñero Brondeta’s director, warden Lemon and Andrés and all the requisitioners, stop harassing the high-profile visit because we are going to continue killing people. Do you want peace of mind?” says the threat that the attackers left on a fence the school.
The experts from the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) kidnapped three pods from the place and verified three bullet wounds on the façade facing Juan B. Justo street.
That educational establishment had been the target of a shooting in the first week of last April, for which the authorities of the Ministry of Security ordered permanent custody in the area.
