Dramatic video reveals the second a diverted American Airways flight was escorted by Italian fighter jets as a result of a “safety concern.”
A spokesperson for the airline instructed Fox Information Digital that AA flight 292 “landed safely in Rome on Sunday afternoon after it was diverted as a result of a safety concern, which later proved to be non-credible.”
The video reveals the airplane being escorted by Italian Air Drive jets previous to touchdown at Leonardo da Vinci Worldwide Airport in Rome.
Flight 292 had departed New York Metropolis’s John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport on its method to New Delhi, India when it was diverted.

The airline didn’t specify what the reason for the safety concern was, however mentioned, per Delhi (DEL) Airport protocol, an inspection was required earlier than touchdown at DEL.
The airplane was inspected by legislation enforcement in Rome and cleared.
