A woman who attacked three TSA agents on Tuesday and disrupted the journey of 450 passengers is accused of assaulting security agents after they took her apple juice from a checkpoint, court documents said.

Makiah Coleman, 19, was arrested at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and charged with assault, criminal damage and public order violation, according to prison records.

The “unprovoked and brutal physical attack” began shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday at Checkpoint D of Terminal 4.

“(Coleman) went on a rampage and ranted about the apple juice and walks around the barrier trying to grab the bin of her stuff that is being shielded from the TSA agent,” an investigator wrote in a presumptive statement obtained by Fox 10 Phoenix.

The suspect allegedly punched and bit the security officers, injuring three of them, two of whom were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Coleman was arrested at the scene by Phoenix police officers.

“Unfortunately, this situation not only resulted in three of our TSA agents being injured, but also caused inconvenience to approximately 450 travelers who had to be diverted to a nearby security checkpoint due to this traveler’s actions,” a TSA said. -spokesman.
