Arizona authorities recently arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a cognitively impaired person in October.
Buckeye resident Sergio Morales, 63, was arrested Monday at his home by officers from the Buckeye Police Department. His arrest stems from a sexual incident on October 1.
Morales is accused of sexually assaulting a cognitively impaired adult while the victim was walking near 4th Street and Center Avenue in Buckeye.
After the attack, the victim was rushed to the Southwest Family Advocacy Center for a forensic interview. Over the course of the past six months, detectives have gradually obtained enough information to locate the suspect.

Buckeye police officers were assisted in their investigation by members of the US Marshals Services Task Force. Morales was arrested without incident.
After his arrest, the 63-year-old suspect was transferred to a local jail and charged with assault.
