Benet Beci, the candidate for mayor in Shkodër on May 14 under the banner of the Socialist Party, has expressed concern that he could not invest in his city.
Beci sees the May 14 elections as a good opportunity to invest in Shkodër, just as it has influenced the change of many other cities in the country.
“I have always been worried about how there could be a way to realize what we were building somewhere, to do it in Shkodër. This is normal for anyone who is present and active at work everywhere, and has no possibility of affecting Shkodra. Rich especially for Shkodra, because of the connections that every person has with his city. Second, I have always thought that Shkodra has great potential and needs to be at the level of the city that has historically been like that. It has been a concern of years of work. And from the Albanian Development Fund, I was very active with Shkodra with the mayors of that time even until recently to have an opportunity, as Korça, Vlora, Puka did, to be Shkodra as well. When I see it from this side now, it seems that I am freeing myself from the feeling that I have had all along that I am missing an intervention, a job, a release for investments in Shkodër” – said Beci.
Duma: The administration of the Municipality of Shkodër, which you failed to do, was not at the right level, or the Rama government, which wanted things to always look worse and worse where it is a right-wing bastion.
“I think both. We have to find a way from both sides to fight for Shkodra” – answered Beci.
