President Biden, while attending a fundraiser in California on Tuesday, Chinese President Xi called Jinping a dictator.
The US president also echoed comments about a Chinese spy balloon floating over the US earlier this year, saying Xi was embarrassed that the balloon had blown off course.
Reuters reported that Biden made the comments during a fundraiser in Californiaa day after Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with the Chinese president in China to ease tensions between the two countries.

After meeting Xi on Monday, Blinken told reporters about the relationship between the US and China took a “positive step” during his journey, as both agreed that the relationship needed to be stabilized.
Biden said over the weekend that he hopes to speak with Xi about how the US and Beijing “get along”.

Biden had planned to attend four fundraisers in California since his arrival on Monday as he ramps up his 2024 campaign.
