President Biden and the White House reportedly publicly “staged” Vice President Kamala Harris alongside the president in an effort to support Harris heading into the 2024 election.

Harris was “symbolically caught in the middle” between Biden and House Speaker McCarthy during the White House debt limit negotiations, according to the report.

“The public staging of those moments, Democratic operatives say, is part of a concerted effort to bolster Harris’ image in the weeks since Biden announced his reelection,” The Washington Post reported.

Anita Dunn, a close ally of Biden, is reportedly tasked with planning events for Harris, the Post reported.

Democrats have repeatedly criticized Harris for lacking “basic political skills” during her vice presidency.

She added, “it doesn’t help that she’s not (so) adept at communicating.”

Biden argued that Harris deserved more credit in early May.

“Look, I just think Vice President Harris didn’t get the credit she deserves,” Biden said. “She was California Attorney General. She’s been a United States Senator. She’s really, really good. And with everything going on, she hasn’t gotten the attention she deserves.”
