Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner Tony Bobulinski and his lawyers contacted the US attorney who led the investigation into the president’s son and offered to testify before the federal grand jury, but prosecutors “never got anything heard,” Fox News Digital has learned.

Bobulinski, who worked with Hunter Biden to create the SinoHawk Holdings joint venture with Chinese energy company CEFC, was interested in testifying before the federal grand jury that gathered evidence as part of the years-long investigation into the president’s son, a source said. who is familiar with the case told Fox News Digital.

But Bobulinski never got that chance.

The source told Fox News that Bobulinski’s lawyers “contacted” U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss and said Bobulinski was “available.” The source told Fox News Digital that Bobulinski and his lawyers “never heard from them again.”

The source said the lawyers were baffled by the fact that prosecutors never asked for Bobulinski’s testimony.

Bobulinski could have provided information about Hunter Biden’s business dealings — specifically related to the joint venture with CEFC, and whether President Biden himself was involved.

The information comes after IRS whistleblowers testified that the federal investigation into Hunter Biden was “politically influenced” and that prosecuting decisions were made that would benefit the subject — the president’s son.

IRS whistleblowers alleged that federal prosecutors avoided questioning certain witnesses and even tried to limit questioning related to President Biden.

Fox News Digital reported exclusively on text messages dating back to May 2017 in which Bobulinski, a retired U.S. Navy lieutenant and the former CEO of SinoHawk Holdings, discussed a meeting with Joe Biden.

The reports seem to indicate that a meeting has taken place.

“Mrng, please let me know if we have early dinner with your uncle and father and where, also for translating documents, do you want it simple Chinese or traditional?” Bobulinski texted Hunter Biden on May 2, 2017.

Hunter replied, “Dad won’t be here until 11 now – let me and Jim meet at 10 at the Beverly Hilton where he’s staying.”

Later on, on the same day, May 2, 2017, Bobulinski texted Jim Biden, brother of Joe Biden, saying, “Great to meet you and spend some time together, thank Joe for his time, was great to talk thx Tony B.”

The next day, May 3, 2017, Bobulinski sent another text message to Jim Biden, saying, “Tomorrow, please let me know everything is ready for things this mrng. I don’t have any credentials to get into Milken, so I want make sure that’s not a problem getting me in, where should we meet this mrng?”

“Milken” was a reference to the 2017 Global Conference, which took place partly at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, according to the program folder.

Joe Biden spoke on May 3, 2017 at the conference, host of “A Conversation with the 47th Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden.”

The alleged meeting between Biden and Bobulinski on May 2, 2017 was said to have occurred 11 days before a May 13, 2017 email obtained by Fox News Digital in 2020 and referenced by Shapley in testimony, which included a discussion of “rewards packages” . for six in a business deal with CEFC. The email appeared to identify Hunter Biden as “Chairman/Vice Chairman contingent upon agreement with CEFC,” in an apparent reference to the now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co.

The email includes a comment that “Hunter (Biden) has some office expectations that he will explain.” A suggested stock split refers to “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” without further details. Bobulinski has said repeatedly that “the big man” was Joe.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley testified before the House Ways and Means Committee and referenced that email as testimony. Fox News Digital had first reported on the email in October 2020.

Shapley noted in his testimony at the time that investigators were preparing to interview Hunter Biden business partner Rob Walker in December 2020.

“Among other things, we wanted to question Walker about an email that said, ‘Ten held by H for the big man,'” Shapley said. “We had obvious questions like who was H, who was the big man, and why should this percentage be kept separate with the association hidden.”

But Shapley said assistant attorney Lesley Wolf “stepped in and said she didn’t want to ask about the big guy and said she didn’t want to ask questions about ‘daddy’.”

It has been reported that Joe Biden was “the big man” – a term that cropped up repeatedly in the context of Hunter’s business dealings and subsequent investigation.

“When several people in the room spoke up and objected that we should ask, she replied: There is no particular crime in that way of asking questions,” Shapley said. “This has also upset the FBI.”

Shapley said that “basically everyone in the room except the prosecutors had a big problem with” not asking questions about President Biden. Shapley said Justice Department investigators were “trying to limit” any questions related to Joe Biden.

The White House says Biden “never had any business” with his son.
