This Wednesday, September 27, search tasks resumed to try to locate the people who are still missing after a current destroyed homes in the Dios es Fiel settlement, under the El Naranjo bridge, in zone 7 of the city of Guatemala.
Six people have been found dead of the 19 reported missing.
Relief bodies reported that this Wednesday is the third day that they continue with the tours to try to locate more victims.
The Volunteer Firefighters reported that they will work in three different locations to cover the greatest distance possible from the point of the tragedy.
The Municipal Firefighters reported that they also resumed search efforts. Javier Soto, spokesperson for that relief corps, reported that they have the support of doctors and the Unified Command Plan is installed.
He added that the special rescue patrol is made up of 35 firefighters who carry life jackets and other supplies to be prepared for any eventuality.
The tragedy occurred in the early hours of September 25, when after heavy rains the flooding of the river swept away homes and among the victims located there were children and adults.
On Tuesday, September 26, the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) revealed the causes of death of four victims of that tragedy.

According to Inacif, they are a 2-year-old boy, a 3-year-old girl and a 40-year-old woman, who died due to asphyxiation due to submersion, that is, drowning.
Meanwhile, another woman, approximately 50 years old, died from head trauma, which suggests that she hit her head while being dragged by the current.
