An inmate at a California jail is accused of killing his cellmate, who was convicted of a number of expenses, together with little one trafficking.

The California Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) mentioned on Monday it’s investigating a murder that came about at Kern Valley State Jail on Saturday.

Gregory Clark, 58, was noticed by officers in his cell with blood on his clothes at round 3:19 p.m. on Saturday, in accordance with the CDCR. His cellmate, 41-year-old Darius Swain, was seen unresponsive within the cell – prompting a name for help.

Clark was eliminated with out incident and medical employees, who referred to as 911, started life-saving measures on Swain.

Swain was pronounced useless at 3:48 p.m. by paramedics within the jail’s Remedy and Triage Space.

He arrived on the jail in March 2019 from Alameda County, the place he was sentenced to life with the opportunity of parole for human trafficking of a minor with power, pimping, pandering, second-degree theft and felon in possession of a firearm.

Clark was put in restrictive housing pending an investigation by the jail’s Investigative Providers Unit.

He arrived on the jail in March 2011 from Los Angeles County, the place he was sentenced to 22 years for home violence, enhancement of use of a lethal weapon, prior jail time period and prior felony conviction of a critical offense.

On Jan. 25, 2021, he was sentenced to 2 further years in Kern County for assault by a prisoner with a lethal weapon.
