It is a tool to determine if the woman’s remains could have been placed under an asphalt in the Emerenciano Sena neighborhood.

“Cecilia’s remains may not be found. But in one of those we may seize cash or material of interest to the cause. That is why we are facing an important expertise,” says a source with access to the file for Cecilia’s disappearance Strzyzowski (28).

It refers to the use of a georadar to try to determine if the remains of the woman could have been placed under an asphalt in the Emerenciano Sena neighborhood, of the “great Resistance”, on the outskirts of the city. The team in charge of the task is from the National Gendarmerie, and will work on a 100-meter stretch of asphalt that was laid days after her disappearance.

From the Gendarmerie they contribute: “The team is on its way. It will arrive in Resistencia (they live in Buenos Aires) this Friday night. A dog specialized in detecting human remains participates in the procession.” This is the same group that worked on the cause of the disappearance of “Marita” Verón, in Santiago del Estero, among other investigations.

This Friday at noon, while Cecilia’s mother, great-aunt and sister participated in the recognition of the kidnapped objects that belonged to the victim, the Special Prosecutors Team (EFE) took a statement from the owner of the company in charge of the pavement work. “It was part of the works designed by roads” and confirmed that the completion of the work was in the first days of June, when Cecilia was already missing.

The company in question is INELCO SRL. On the web, they present themselves as a service for “civil-road works, soil movement, equipment rental and long-distance freight” and share images of their work. Although they do not exhibit any of the work that will be appraised in the next few hours.

From what Clarín was able to learn, the Gendarmerie experts must “comb” with a ground movement detector different areas of interest to the prosecutors team and the street that was paved, in the western sector of the Emerenciano Sena neighborhood.

The suspicions began from the testimony of neighbors who assured that the work began two days after the disappearance, at night; something unusual for this type of task. Although other neighbors affirmed that the start of the activities was at seven in the morning.

“It was a very hard day”

Regarding the closure of this Friday, Cecilia’s mother gave a press conference in which she expressed her feelings on a difficult day, in which they recognized several of the victim’s belongings: “It was a very hard day for me, I had to admit It was positive. Most of the things are from my daughter. What hurt me the most was seeing the diver,” he said.

Cecilia’s mother, Gloria Romero, was accompanied by the mother of Angeles Rawson and Viviam Perrone, from Madres del Dolor. The father of Paulina Lebbos, murdered in Tucumán in 2006, was also present.

Romero, who called for a new march in Chaco for next Sunday, added about the recognition of the objects: “It broke me a lot. I knew my daughter was dead… But when you see it and you imagine that they burned the body and that it only I’m going to find pieces or bones, they take everything away from you. But with everything they took from me, they took away my fear.”
