A Chicago man accused of torturing and killing a number of cats has been arrested.
Thomas Martel, 22, turned himself in to police on Monday after a lady filed a grievance about animal cruelty. Fox Chicago reported.

He’s charged with 4 counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and two counts of animal torture, all felonies.
Martel allegedly drowned and crushed two cats to dying, whereas a 3rd died from mutilation, authorities stated. A kitten was discovered by cops in a plastic bag in Martel’s residence.
The lady who reported it stated the cat had been microwaved. All of the kittens that died had been named Shelly.

An arrest report obtained by the information outlet stated Martel had taken pharmaceuticals and had critical psychological well being issues.
