A man in Connecticut exchanged blows with several people who attempted a brutal carjacking in broad daylight on April 10.
Police are looking for the four suspects who were caught on camera trying to steal a car parked in a residential driveway in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
The homeowner’s Ring video surveillance system captured the entire incident, and police have released the video as they try to identify the suspects.

Video from the crime shows a lone car thief approaching a red Infiniti parked on Valley View Drive. The owner runs out of the house, confronts the suspect and forcibly pulls him out of the car.

Footage shows the two struggling before falling apart – the suspect then attacks the owner and the two begin to struggle again.
The suspect was eventually joined by three other suspects, two of whom attempted to punch the victim’s face while he was being held. The fourth suspect stood by and watched the incident unfold.

The attack ended when another person in the house yelled that they call the police, inspiring the gang of four suspects to flee in a black Mercedes.
A neighbour told NBC Connecticut, “It’s so close to home. It’s really frustrating,” said a neighbor.
“This incident is still under investigation by the Rocky Hill Police Department’s criminal investigation department,” the Rocky Hill Police Department said. “If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact Detective Matthew Seguin at 860-258-2047 or at [email protected]”)

Police noted that the man’s intervention in the attempted carjacking could have gone horribly wrong.
“Thank God he wasn’t seriously injured,” said Police Sergeant Rocky Hill. Jeffrey Foss-Rugan said, according to NBC Connecticut. “We see a lot of these incidents in the state and country where people intervene and the suspect may have a weapon.”
