Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr FC lost any chance of winning a title this season of Arab football, as they drew 1-1 as a visitor to Al-Ettifaq and due to the thrashing of Al-Ittihad, the latter took the League championship and leave Cristiano Ronaldo without a consecration in his adventure in Asia.

It is a new failure for the Portuguese footballer who arrived this season in the Saudi Professional League as the big star, but will close his first year in the exotic adventure at Al Nassr ‘in white’, without titles.

After being eliminated in the semifinals of the Arab Cup, the season will end without a league for CR7 after Al Nassr FC drew 1-1 against Al-Ettifaq on the penultimate round of the championship.

Youssoufou Niakate put Al-Ettifaq ahead two minutes before the break, while Brazilian Luiz Gustavo equalized for Al-Nassr on 56′.

Cristiano Ronaldo suffered another frustrating outing at Al-Ettifaq’s ground, going unmarked and being substituted in the 84th minute with the score level 1-1.

With one game to go before the season ends, CR7 has added 14 goals and two assists in 17 games in his first season at Al-Nassr. Without being bad numbers, higher numbers were expected being a minor league.

The former Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus player will finish his first season in the country empty-handed after joining the club in January.

THE CHAMPION

The title goes to the Al-Ittihad of the Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo, who did not fail in his visit to Al Feiha and with a 3-0 win he has been crowned as champion of the Saudi league for the first time since 2009.

A goal after three minutes from Ahmed Sharahili and a double from Romarinho, the best player of the tournament, gave victory to Al-Ittihad, who made amends for having lost the title on the last day of last season.
