Mauricio Garcia, the suspect in a deadly shopping mall shooting in Allen, Texas, that left eight dead and several others wounded on Saturday has yet to be officially identified by police, a Texas law enforcement source tells Fox News Digital.
Garcia, 33, is from Dallas, Texas, according to data obtained by Fox News Digital. The age, address and vehicle of the suspect match the description of the data provided by the police. The address, as of March, is about 30 miles south of the shootout at Allen Premium Outlets in Dallas. It seems to be associated with a hotel.
An email account named “deathdestructionandlove” was listed in association with Garcia in documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
His brother, Christian Garcia, whose address is listed as Mauricio’s according to records obtained, has several criminal records, including residential burglary and public intoxication.

According to KHOU, multiple FBI agents reported to a home in Dallas’ Northeast Patrol division, with several Dallas police officers outside. Multiple sources told the outlet that the house is where the suspected 30-year-old gunman lives with his parents.
According to KHOU, the officers reportedly spoke to family in the home. The family would have requested an interpreter.
FBI agents also joined police on Sunday morning to search the suspect’s home, where neighbors say he has lived for years.

Neighbors also told WFAA that he could often be seen going to and from the house in an outfit that suggested a security role. Despite the regular sightings, neighbors added that both the man and his gray Dodge Charger had been missing frequently in recent weeks.
Neighbors also told KHOU that they could not recall any sort of police activity or trouble in the home. They noted that he was very quiet, but did notice some unusual and quiet behavior.

The gunman began his rampage at about 3:30 p.m. local time, with security footage showing the man getting out of a gray Dodge Charger.

A police officer at the mall heard the gunshots and rushed to the sound. The officer then engaged the gunman and killed him.

Six victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while two more died of their injuries during or after being transported to a hospital. Seven people were injured in the attack and three were still in critical condition on Sunday morning.

“We are shocked by today’s senseless tragedy and outraged by the violence that continues to plague our country. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and others affected by this horrific act. We are grateful for the heroic actions of the police officer and for the support of all first responders,” Simon Property Group, which owns Allen Premium Outlets, said in a statement.
Dallas police said their computers were still down Saturday after a ransomware attack on Wednesday.
