At the “Defender Europe 23” ceremony, Defense Minister Niko Peleshi states that Albania’s goal is to show that it is able to cope with any situation that may arise in the field of security and defense by fulfilling every task and commitment that belongs to it.
He also gave a message to all the armed forces who have come to Albania to enjoy their stay and come back again!
“Defender 2023 Europe” reaffirms the close cooperation that Albania has with the USA in the wake of a strong strategic partnership in the field of security and defense for which we are deeply grateful. The armed forces of the Republic of Albania are an important part of this strategy and are being adequately represented, showing a high level of professionalism.
Our aim is to show that we are able to cope with any situation that may arise in the field of security and defense by fulfilling every task and commitment that belongs to us as a NATO country. Of course, another major goal is to assure our citizens that the armed forces of the Republic of Albania are ready to fulfill their basic duties of protecting the borders of the homeland.
This exercise is of great importance to convey the message that the countries of the Western Balkans remain steadfast in their orientation towards Euro-Atlantic values. There is no doubt that the peoples of the Balkans have been aspiring for decades to become worthy peoples of a united Europe.
I have a message for all armed personnel forces of friendly, partner and allied countries who will stay in Albanian territory during “Defender 2023″. Feel at home, enjoy the Albanian hospitality and come back to our blessed country”, said Niko Peleshi.
