The fighting that has erupted in the Sudanese city of Khartoum and other cities is a direct result of ambitions for power within the military leadership of the state.
As a result of the fighting on April 15, it is said that at least 50 people died, including civilians.
Fighting is taking place at key strategic points in Khartoum, between regular soldiers and the paramilitary force – the Rapid Support Force (RSF).

History of fighting
Since the October 2021 coup, Sudan has been ruled by a council of generals.
