Elgin Marbles in Britain ‘like reducing Mona Lisa in half’

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has once more known as for the return of the Elgin Marbles, saying that having some artefacts in London and the remaining in Athens is like reducing the Mona Lisa in half.

The traditional Greek treasures within the British Museum, also called the Parthenon sculptures, had been dropped at Britain by British diplomat Lord Elgin within the early nineteenth century.

About half of them stay in Greece, the place they’re now housed within the Parthenon Museum.
