Two people died Saturday morning in a minor plane crash at a Mississippi airport, Tupelo Regional Airport confirmed to Fox News Digital.
The aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff, banked sharply before touching down near airport hangars and catching fire.
The pilot and a local doctor were killed in the crash around 8 a.m., WTVA-TV reported, adding that the plane nearly crashed into the Army Aviation Support Facility.
