Florida conservationists were called to a shelter early Sunday morning to retrieve a 10-foot crocodile from the pool.
The homeowners called the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission who sent noted trapper Todd Hardwick and his team from Pesky Critters Wildlife Control.
The team arrived at the house in Plantation Key around 2 a.m
A video released by Pesky Critters shows Hardwick and his assistant, Jeff Peterla, tying up the crocodile, who fights back. The water splashes over the pool deck, creating a slippery and dangerous situation.

Hardwick is seen pulling the rope to drag the resistant crocodile out of the pool. Finally, the team removes the beast from the pool and drags it across the wet asphalt.

A Monroe County sheriff’s officer assisted the team in removing the crocodile from the property and releasing it back into the wild.
The video shows Hardwick removing his restraints and encouraging the animal to return to its habitat.
“Another Florida example of why everyone should turn on the pool lights before going for a nighttime swim,” Hardwick told the Miami Herald.
