Over the course of a week, as a result of increased controls, as part of measures to increase road safety parameters, using modern logistics equipment, based on citizen complaints, for various road violations:
– 4 drivers were arrested and 3 others were prosecuted at large, for the criminal offenses “Violation of traffic rules” and “Irregular driving”;
– a total of 8 driving licenses were suspended, of which 4 for exceeding the speed limit and 4 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Checks continue on every road axis.
Durrës Traffic Police appeals to the drivers to strictly respect the traffic rules, avoid using mobile phones while driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. We invite all citizens to report any violation of traffic rules to the free number 112, guaranteeing a quick response.
