The push to beef up the “recount account” comes because the Harris marketing campaign is reportedly $20 million in debt. The donations are made to the Harris Victory Fund, which is a part of a joint fundraising committee licensed by the Harris marketing campaign, the Democratic Nationwide Committee and state Democratic events.
“The primary $41,300/$15,000 from an individual/multicandidate committee (“PAC”) will likely be allotted to the DNC. The following $3,300/$5,000 from an individual/PAC will likely be allotted to Harris for President’s Recount Account,” the fundraising web page states.
