The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has been christened at the couple’s home in California.
Princess Lilibet Diana, who was born to Prince Harry and Meghan in June 2021, was christened on Friday.
Although not a princess by birth, as she was not the granddaughter of a monarch, she became entitled to the title when King Charles ascended the throne.
The announcement is the first time she has been publicly named a princess.
Lilibet is the second child of Harry and Meghan, who moved to the US after leaving the royal family in 2020. Their son Archie was born in May 2019.
As the children of a sovereign’s son, Archie and Lilibet are automatically entitled to be called prince and princess.
Earlier this week, it emerged that Harry and Meghan were discussing whether or not to travel to the UK for the coronation of the King and Queen Consort.
