1. “God Bless the US,” Lee Greenwood
“God Bless the USA” is a must-have on any Fourth of July playlist. This song was released in 1984 on Greenwood’s “You’ve Got a Good Love Comin” album.
The song is full of patriotic lyrics, especially in the chorus when Greenwood sings, “And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free, and I won’t forget the men who died, who gifts.” right on me, and I’d love to stand beside you and still defend her today, because there’s no doubt I love this country, God bless the US”
2. “Only in America,” Brooks & Dunn
This upbeat song was released in 2001 off the album “Steers & Stripes” by country artists Brooks & Dunn.
“Only in America, dreaming in red white and blue, only in America, where we dream as big as we want,” the song’s chorus reads.

3. “Red White & Blue,” Lynyrd Skynyrd
This popular Skynyrd song was released in 2003 and is often played for Fourth of July.
4. “Take me home, country roads,” John Denver
“Take Me Home, Country Road” is a 1971 classic from the Denver album “Poems, Prayers & Promises”.
This country hit is still popular and is one that people will probably be familiar with, especially in West Virginia. Put this on your playlist and let everyone sing along to the catchy chorus.

5. “Living in America,” James Brown
You may recognize this song from ‘Rocky IV’. This song was sung by Brown and was written especially for this film.
In the scene from the movie where this song is used, Brown sings the song during Apollo Creed’s entry into his fight against Ivan Drago. During the scene, Creed is covered in American-themed gear as the song is sung.
This fast-paced jam will make you want to dance and celebrate the nation.
6. “Party in the USA”, Miley Cyrus
While “Party in the USA” may not be as “patriotic” as the other songs mentioned, it’s still a great song to play for the occasion.
It’s catchy, upbeat and fun. It came out in 2009 and is sung by Miley Cyrus.

7. “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” John Philip Sousa
While country and pop hits are great additions to a Fourth of July playlist, don’t forget to mix in classics. Add John Phillip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” to your 4th of July playlist.
The song opens with “The Stars and Stripes Forever Let warlike note float in triumph And liberty stretches forth his mighty hand; Amid thunderous cheers a flag appears, the banner of the western land. The emblem of the brave and true.”
8. “American Saturday Night,” Brad Paisley
Brad Paisley is the country music artist behind the 2009 hit “American Saturday Night.” This is one song you’ll want to play over and over again.
Included in the lyrics are: “It’s a French kiss, Italian ice cream, Spanish moss in the moonlight. It’s just another American Saturday night. Oh, that’s just what we got here.”
9. “America,” Simon & Garfunkel
This is an oldie with a 1968 release from the album “Bookends.” Simon & Garfunkel’s song has a slow, calming sound to it, but it’s still a great addition to your playlist.
10. “America the Beautiful”, Ray Charles
“America the Beautiful” is a classic that will spark national pride in anyone. You won’t want to hit the skip button when this number comes up during your Fourth of July festivities.
11. “The Star-studded Banner,” Whitney Houston
If you want to add the US national anthem to your playlist, this version sung by Houston in 1991 is a beautiful rendition.

12. “Ragged Old Flag”, Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash, the country artist behind songs like “Ring of Fire” and “I Walk the Line,” also released the patriotic hit “Ragged Old Flag” in 1974.
“You see, we got a little hole in that flag there when Washington brought it across the Delaware. And it was burnt in powder the night Francis Scott Key was sitting looking at it as he wrote, you see. And he got a bad rip in New Orleans with Packingham and Jackson pulling at the seams,” Cash sings.
13. “Courtesy of Red, White, and Blue,” Toby Keith
Toby Keith released “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” in 2002. This gritty country song is sure to make anyone burst with pride.
14. “Fireworks”, Katy Perry
“You just have to turn on the light and let it shine, just master the night, like the fourth of July.” This Perry song is from her 2010 album “Teenage Dream” but should definitely get the crowd excited at your party.
15. “Born in the USA”, Bruce Springsteen
No playlist is complete without a classic song from Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band. “Born In The USA is one of Springsteen’s most famous songs and most guests will probably know it. If not, it’s one of those songs that is easy to recognize and fun to sing along to.

16. “The Rising”, Bruce Springsteen
This patriotic song was recorded after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The entire album “The Rising” contains a number of emotional hits in honor of the lives lost that day.
The song reads: “Air of blackness and sorrow, air of love, air of tears, air of glory and sorrow, air of mercy, air of fear, air of memory and shadow. Your burning wind fills my arms tonight. Air of longing and emptiness, heaven of fullness, heaven of blessed life.
