Another brutal attack by hitmen hit Rosario this Wednesday afternoon. A group of people on a motorcycle riddled a man, who arrived lifeless at the hospital, the product of multiple gunshot wounds. It is the third crime in less than 24 hours in the city of Santa Fe. In addition, two women were injured.
The episode occurred around 5:00 p.m., about 10 blocks from the 20th police station in the Empalme Graneros neighborhood, in downtown Rosario, the same police detachment that was shot Tuesday in an attack that occurred hours after the new police chief took office.
According to witnesses, two men walked by on a Twister model motorcycle and at 1200 Cullen bis street they opened fire on a 25-year-old woman, wounded in the right leg. In addition, a 15-year-old neighbor was injured in the abdomen.
Seconds later, at 1500 on the same street, they attacked again with bullets against the front of a house. There they shot a 23-year-old man who was getting on a motorcycle, Rosario3 indicated.
Neighbors assured that the murderers recorded the attack.

The three victims were rushed to the Alberdi hospital. The man died at the medical center, due to serious injuries to the skull and chest. Meanwhile, the two women were hospitalized, out of danger.
The fatal victim was identified as Gustavo Ramón Villalba Sosa, born in Paraguay.
On the block of the murder, at least six 45-caliber pods were found, according to the newspaper La Capital.
Prosecutor Patricio Saldutti, on duty at the Intentional Homicide Unit of the Second Circumscription Regional Prosecutor’s Office, ordered the criminal cabinet commission to survey the crime scene, take testimonies from neighbors and receive data.
The Justice works on photographic expertise and the lifting of traces, together with the Criminal Investigation Agency Brigade (AIC). It seeks to determine the motivation of the act and identify the attackers.
Attack and murder blocks from the shot police station
The hitman attack this Wednesday was one kilometer from the 20th police station, located at Gabriel Carrasco 5,600, which had been shot in less than 24 hours in another similar episode and with a mafia stamp.
At 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, from a van they opened fire on that police headquarters. Two shots hit the front of the building, while another hit the fender of a car parked on the block.
The attackers left a handwritten note addressed to the Penitentiary Service, the content of which was not revealed. “We cannot disseminate its content or read what the note says because it is a very finite letter. First you have to wait for the expertise,” explained the new Rosario Police Chief, Daniel Acosta.

The shooting at the police station occurred just hours after Acosta took office in his new position, replacing Adrián Galigani.
“It is an attack against an agency that represents the State. It is worrisome and draws attention, but this has been happening for a while and we have to work hard,” said the new police chief.
Two other police headquarters had been attacked this week and the alleged hitmen also left intimidating notes.
In 2023 there were already 133 murders in Rosario.
