Iceland volcano erupts for sixth time in eight months

It’s the sixth time since December {that a} volcano has erupted within the space south of the capital Reykjavik.

In line with the Icelandic Meteorological Institute, the eruption started at 21:26 native time (22:16 BST) after a sequence of earthquakes.

The close by fishing village of Grindavik was evacuated. It isn’t identified how many individuals had been within the space, as a lot of the practically 4,000 residents left in November.
