The authorities in Qatar have apprehended an Indian Intelligence officers syndicate on charges of espionage. The arrested individuals include two commanders and the group was working for a private company in Doha. One of the two retired commanders has been identified as Purnendu Tiwari who has received Parvasi Bharatiya Samman Award in 2019 from Ram Nath Kovind, the then Indian President. The arrest of former Indian Navy Officials came to light from a social media post by a woman Dr Meetu Bhargava on October 25.
As per reports the Navy officers were allegedly involved in spying and planning a terror plot. The suspicious activities of these officers prompted the law enforcement agencies of Qatar to take actions against them. Some Qatar officials on condition of anonymity said that the Indian Navy officers were terrorists and actively involved in spying.
They further added that these officers were funded by Indian state, sponsored by the agencies, and state backed terrorism in other countries by using the Qatari soil. According to Kashmir Media Service, Analysts have said that this is another worldwide humiliation and embarrassment for the terrorist country India as it is trying hard to instigate violence in other countries by sponsoring, backing and funding terrorism.
Indian intelligence agencies officials have been caught in the past working to implement their hostile designs. In March 2016, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence successfully caught an Indian Navy commander Kulbhushan Yadav red handed spying for India. He later confessed that he was operating to carry out terrorist attacks in different parts of Pakistan on the direction of RAW (Research and Analysis Wing), Indian Intelligence agency.
As per sources the recent arrest of the Indian retired Naval Officers was due to their involvement in planning terror activities in Qatar. The security of a global event, FIFA World Cup 2022 being held in Qatar was handed over to Pakistan that may have triggered the Indian Agencies and they started their plans to malign the security arrangements in the important event.
Indian Intelligence officials have been caught in the past for terror funding. Pakistan has exposed India multiple times with irrefutable evidences for running dozens of training camps in Afghanistan for multiple globally outlawed militant groups to plot terrorism on Pakistani soil to destabilize the country.
