A councilor from the Frente de Todos in Quilmes was hospitalized with severe burns and investigators point to a fight with her partner, who also suffered injuries.
Nair Abad (35) has about 35% of her body burned and is admitted to the Isidoro Iriarte Hospital. The doctors evaluate the possibility of transferring her to the Güemes Hospital in the City of Buenos Aires, according to how she evolves.
The mayor suffered severe burns on Saturday morning, around 11. According to the first testimonies, they occurred after an argument with her partner at the young man’s house, located on Misiones street in the “Villa Itatí” neighborhood of Quilmes. Police sources confirmed to Clarín that the event that triggered the burns occurred in the kitchen of the house, although the mechanics are still being investigated.
The Honorable Deliberative Council of Quilmes issued a brief statement in which it reports on the mayor’s health, but does not refer to the fact that triggered the burns.
Nair Abad, a councilor for the Frente de Todos in Quilmes, suffered serious burns after an argument with her partner.
“Today, Councilor Nair Abad was urgently admitted to the Isidoro Iriarte Hospital with burns on her body. The last medical part indicates that her state of health is reserved, ”she explained.
The man, identified as Federico Franco (32), also suffered burns, but less seriously, and was referred to the Bicentennial Hospital in Monte Grande.
The Fiscal Instruction Unit (UFI) No. 5 of Quilmes, in charge of Jorge Zaizar, is investigating the case.
