Lindsay Clancy’s husband confided in a family friend about his wife’s mental health issues and expressed concern that she was experiencing withdrawal symptoms a month before she allegedly killed their three children and then attempted suicide.
Clancy, a 32-year-old nurse, reportedly used training ropes to strangle and kill her three children – Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 7 months – before slitting her own wrists and neck and jumping out of her bedroom window. home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on Jan. 24.
Tuesday’s court hearing was rescheduled for July 25, and Clancy was transferred to Tewksbury State Hospital, according to court records.
Her lawyer, Kevin Reddington, revealed during her arraignment on Feb. 7 that she is paralyzed from the waist down. He declined comment on Tuesday, but told Fox News Digital he plans to file a motion to change the venue if the case reaches higher court.

At the moment, the case is in Plymouth District Court, where Clancy was sued via Zoom from her hospital bed wearing a neck brace and face mask. Misdemeanor cases go to Massachusetts superior court after indictment by a grand jury.
Clancy and her husband, Patrick, were having dinner with their friends on Jan. 22 — two days before the incident — and Lindsay “appeared pretty normal, mostly quiet while talking on the phone and keeping to herself,” their friend told authorities, according to court records obtained by Fox News Digital.

The friend was “actually surprised she was there because of Pat’s statements about her health, and (the friend of the family) didn’t know she was coming that night,” the court document says.
It was the first time they had seen Clancy “in a few months.”

Patrick has been friends with the couple since college, and both families sent their children to the same nursery.
In the month and a half before the incident, the documents show, Patrick told friends that Lindsay had been on more medications and that he feared she was experiencing withdrawal symptoms from benzodiazepines, a drug prescribed for anxiety, court documents say.

He said Lindsay had “the worst possible side effects”.
During a morning episode at daycare, Pat “looked like he was having a rough morning” and opened up to his friend’s wife, court documents say.

On January 5, Patrick texted her about his concerns about Lindsay’s treatment and medication, noting that he felt Lindsay “had been overprescribed,” according to court documents, which did not include the message exchanges.
Clancy’s defense team has suggested that Lindsay, now charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and strangulation for the deaths of each of her three children, was assaulted by a “deficient” mental health professional, and that her medication had turned her into a “zombie”. ‘ changed.

Reddington described how many different drugs she had been given in a short period of time, how often the drugs were changed or the dosages changed, and said she had applied for psychiatric help because she had suicidal thoughts.

Meanwhile, prosecutors have portrayed Lindsay’s alleged actions as first-degree murder, with evidence from Google searches and argued that she purposely sent her husband out of the house and timed how long she had.
“The defendant didn’t take advantage of the situation when her husband left the house that night, she created it,” Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Sprague said during Clancy’s Feb. 7 arraignment.

Patrick had been gone less than 30 minutes to run some errands for his wife that night, and he came home to an odd silence.
He eventually found his wife in their backyard after her suicide attempt and asked where the children were. She replied, “in the basement,” ADA Sprague said.

First responders heard his screams when he found his three young children in the basement, according to detailed court documents.
The incident shocked the suburban coastal community, including the first responders who found the young children and cared for Clancy.

Patrick Clancy has remained off the media, except for a January 28 statement on a GoFundMe page, in which he said he had forgiven his wife and wants everyone else to do the same.
“The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring to everyone – to me, our children, family, friends and her patients,” he wrote. “The fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”
