A group of millionaires calling for higher taxes on the wealthy were challenged on Tuesday to commit to paying the higher tax rates they supported.

Stephen Moore, a Heritage Foundation fellow and co-founder of the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, confronted Patriotic Millionaires, a group of wealthy Americans calling for higher tax rates on the wealthy, at the group’s Tax Day press conference held in partnership with various members of Congress.

“We were hoping that each of you would sign this pledge, which says you will pay 90% in taxes, just as you subscribe today, because you say it is your patriotic duty to do so,” said Moore when he approached Morris Pearl . , president of Patriotic Millionaires, on stage. “And so I hope that each of you will sign this pledge that I am willing to pay 90% tax.”
