According to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, drones hit two uninhabited buildings. He states that the drone attacks took place in the night from Monday to Monday around 4 a.m. local time. There are no deaths and no major damage.

The mayor’s confirmation came somewhat after initial reports that drone fragments had been found about 2 kilometers from the Russian Defense Ministry building. Several Russian news agencies pointed to the emergency services as the source of the information.

Two explosions

A witness told Reuters news agency that two powerful explosions were heard before reports of the discovery.

A Russian statement called the drone strikes “attempted terrorism” against Moscow.

According to Russia, five Ukrainian drones were shot down on the outskirts of Moscow earlier this month. No one was injured in the attacks.

I think NATO and the US are helping

Russia’s Defense Ministry called the events “an attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist act with five drones”.

“These attacks would not have been possible without the help the United States and its NATO allies have given to the Kiev regime,” Russia’s foreign ministry said at the time.

The ministry further claimed that the West “trains drone operators and provides the necessary intelligence to commit such crimes”. The mayor of Moscow said the five drones were shot down by air defense forces.
