‘Mysterious’ Las Vegas monolith seems in desert

A “mysterious monolith” has appeared in a desert north of Las Vegas. 

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division says the shiny, reflective construction – much like one present in Utah years in the past – was noticed by its search and rescue unit close to Gass Peak over the weekend. 

“We see a number of bizarre issues when folks go mountaineering like not being ready for the climate, not bringing sufficient water… however examine this out!” police wrote on X alongside a picture of the monolith. 

The invention comes months after a hiker in Wales captured a video of a mysterious “UFO”-like monolith on high of a hillside alongside the nation’s border with England.

Craig Muir recorded footage exhibiting the shiny object in March whereas mountaineering Hay Bluff close to Hay-on-Wye, in response to Storyful.  

“I come up right here most days and I’ve by no means seen this earlier than,” Muir says within the video, including that it “nearly appears like a UFO.”  

Comparable monoliths even have been present in Belgium, Romania and the Isle of Wight – an island within the English Channel.  

MONOLITH VANISHES FROM REMOTE UTAH DESERT

In November 2020, one of many monoliths, estimated at between 10 toes and 12 toes excessive, was discovered by Utah state wildlife workers who have been counting sheep from a helicopter.  

Bret Hutchings, the helicopter pilot, mentioned it was “in regards to the strangest factor that I’ve come throughout on the market in all my years of flying,” in response to Salt Lake Metropolis’s KSL-TV.   

Authorities mentioned on the time that the mysterious object was put in within the floor in a distant space with “no apparent indication” of who might need put it there, in response to a press launch from the Utah Division of Public Security.  

Then per week later, one other monolith was found in Atascadero, California, which is north of Los Angeles.

It’s unclear who’s behind the location of the monoliths. A New Mexico artist collective claimed accountability years in the past.
