North Atlantic Treaty Group Secretary Common Jens Stoltenberg warned that any deliberate injury to the alliance’s vital infrastructure would warrant a response after an undersea fuel pipeline ruptured following a suspected act of sabotage in Finland. “Whether it is confirmed to be a deliberate assault on NATO’s vital infrastructure, this will probably be severe, however there will even be a united and decided response from NATO,” Stoltenberg stated forward of a gathering of NATO ministers of Protection in Brussels.
