Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was suspended three video games for his late hit on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawerence, which led to him being carted off the sphere with a concussion of their sport on Sunday, the league introduced Tuesday.
NFL Vice President of Soccer Operations Jon Runyan introduced that Al-Shaair can be suspended with out pay in a prolonged letter calling the git “unacceptable and a critical violation of the foundations of the sport.”
“You’re seen on video putting the pinnacle and neck space of Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence after he clearly went down in a foot-first slide… You led along with your forearm and helmet and delivered a robust blow the pinnacle/neck space of your opponent if you had time and house to keep away from such contact,” the letter to Al-Shaair mentioned.
Runyan pointed to Al-Shaair’s involvement within the brawl on the sphere that broke out after the aim.

Runyan mentioned Al-Shaair’s “lack of sportsmanship and respect for the sport of soccer” doesn’t “mirror the core values of the NFL” and referred to as it “troubling.”
“Your continued disregard for the NFL’s guidelines of the sport endangers the well being and security of each you and your opponents and won’t be tolerated.”
