A Maryland pastor was discovered responsible of sexually assaulting a parishioner at his Montgomery County church.
Erick Odir Vidal-Fuentes, 39, pastor of Iglesia Pentecostal El Fin Viene, was convicted Tuesday of second-degree rape and a fourth-degree sexual offense in opposition to a parishioner, Takoma Park police stated in a press launch.
In line with Montgomery State Legal professional John McCarthy, “Vidal-Fuentes abused his place as head of a church to achieve this parishioner’s belief, after which betrayed her belief by victimizing her.”

The state prosecutor’s workplace stated the assault befell on September 29, 2020 on the Iglesia Pentecostal El Fin Viene in Takoma Park. In June 2021, the Takoma Park Police Division started investigating the sexual misconduct allegations.
Vidal-Fuentes was arrested as he left the church on August 5, 2021 and charged with second-degree rape and fourth-degree sexual offense.
The sufferer has not been recognized.
