Abbott Gov. Responds to Mass Shooting at Texas Mall: Tackling Mental Health Is ‘Long-Term Solution’

Texas Governor Greg Abbott, R., joined “Fox News Sunday” to discuss the tragic shooting at a mall in Allen and breaking news about the border crossing as officials braced for the end of Title 42.

Maryland authorities are investigating possible gunfire at the St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf.

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office said the scene was clear at 5:30 p.m. Sunday and one suspect was in custody.

Police confirmed that no victims had been located as they continued the investigation.

The mall will remain closed for the rest of the day.

“Initial reports indicate that a group of teenagers may have fired a firearm at the mall. No gunshot victims have been reported to date,” the statement added.

The report comes a day after a shooting at a mall in Allen, Texas, that killed at least eight people and injured several others.

Fox News Digital contacted the Charles County Sheriff’s Office for more information, but has not heard back.
