Smoking Addiction Cigarette Box Cigarettes Tobacco
The Tobacco Department of the Chamber of Commerce announced an increase of ten types of cigarettes from Thursday, the well-known of which are Merit cigarettes.
The ten varieties are part of the Philip Morris group, one of the largest distributors of tobacco and cigarettes in Egypt.
The division attributed the new increase to the rise in the price of the US dollar against the Egyptian pound.
Philip Morris increased the prices of its products due to the decrease in hard currency management and the increase in production costs, Ibrahim Imbaby, head of the Tobacco Division at the Chamber of Food Industries at the Federation of Egyptian Industries, confirmed this.
