Prince Harry, who attended the coronation of his father, Charles III, without his wife Meghan this Saturday, remained in the background during the solemn ceremony at Westminster Abbey, and was excluded from the subsequent family greeting from the balcony of the Palace of Buckingham.

Enrique, dressed in a dark suit and several medals on his lapel, spoke with his cousin Beatriz and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, upon arriving at an event in which he did not play any formal role.

The protocol placed the 38-year-old prince in the third row during the ceremony, two behind his brother, Prince William, heir to the throne, and also further back than the second row he occupied during Elizabeth II’s funeral, in September.

Enrique advanced alone through the central nave of the Abbey to his seat, with a relaxed air, smiling and greeting various people along the way.

Many eyes were on this Saturday in the public reunion of Enrique with the rest of the royal family, after the publication in January of “In the shadow” (“Spare”, in English), a controversial memoir where he airs his bad relationship with some of his relatives.

The British press has revealed that Harry arrived in London on Friday night from the United States on a commercial flight and planned to return shortly after the coronation to celebrate his son Archie’s birthday.

At the end of the ceremony, while the rest of the family headed to Buckingham Palace, the prince got into a car that was soon followed by photographers leaving London to the west, in the direction of Heathrow airport, according to what was published by the newspaper. tabloid “Daily Mail”.
