Rep. Diana Harshbarger, R-Tenn., has endorsed former President Donald Trump and has joined his campaign leadership team, she revealed in a statement Sunday night.

“As we face unprecedented challenges threatening the American way of life, it is clear that the Biden administration has failed us,” her campaign said. “Our economy teeters on the brink of recession, and we risk losing an entire generation to overdose deaths, exacerbated by an open border. Meanwhile, Democrat-led cities and states have allowed lawlessness to be the norm and corrupt justice systems have turned criminals into victims.”

She added: “The world is watching as we project weakness and provoke conflict with hostile nations. But there is hope.”

The Republican lawmaker said she wanted the US to “return to the conservative values ​​and leadership that once made America great”.

“President Donald J. Trump has a proven track record of delivering results and putting America first,” she also said. “He’s done it before and he can do it again. Harshbarger was elected to a second term in the House of Representatives in November 2022 when she defeated Democratic nominee Cameron Parsons. She won the contest with 78.3% of the vote.

Last month, Harshbarger defended Trump in a lawsuit brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
