A Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives was expelled from school Wednesday after a bipartisan vote to impeach her for inviting a conspiracy theorist to testify at a committee hearing on election integrity in February.
The Republican-controlled body voted 46 to 13 to approve HR 2003 and replace Rep. Remove Liz Harris for violating House ethics rules by inviting Jacqueline Breger to the hearing alleging criminal activity was committed by Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs and other politicians, including taking bribes from a Mexican drug cartel.
Breger also claimed that the crimes were overseen by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

One of her Democratic colleagues filed an ethics complaint against Harris in March, alleging that she personally invited Breger, which “discredited and embarrassed the House of Representatives” and “allowed the contestation of other members” in violation of with the house rules, according to the text of the bill.
The House Ethics Committee, made up of three Republicans and two Democrats, unanimously found that Harris did indeed violate ethics rules, leading to the full House floor vote that ultimately led to her removal.

Local reporters caught up with Harris as she left the capital following her removal, pretending to have her belongings with her.
“I insist on honesty and integrity. The report is a lie,” she told someone who asked about her reaction to the vote. She later said the vote was “an example of how to hold the line”.
“If you don’t keep the line, this is what happens,” she said, referring to the Republicans who voted to impeach her.
