A Russian court has fined Google 3 million rubles for failing to remove content related to Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine and what it said was “LGBT propaganda,” the Interfax news agency reported.

Over the past year, Moscow has imposed dozens of fines against Western technology companies under new censorship laws passed shortly after it sent troops to Ukraine in February 2022.

Last July Google was fined almost £300 million by the Kremlin for failing to remove posts related to the war in Ukraine.
