The South African Revenue Service (SARS) will be upgrading its online systems on Friday 23 June between 6pm and 11pm.
“During this time, you may experience occasional service interruptions on the eFiling platform,” said SARS.
According to SARS, the upgrades are part of the tax authorities’ strategic objective to offer streamlined digital online services.
“We are working hard to ensure that our digital platforms and technology infrastructure are available, robust and secure through regular upgrades, enhancements and maintenance,” said SARS.
SARS has embarked on a modernization program called Vision 2024 with the overall goal of digitizing the tax administration. Through digitalisation, the tax authorities want to provide clarity and certainty, make it easy for taxpayers and traders to meet their obligations and increase public confidence.
eFiling is an online platform that offers services for filing returns, returns and conducting various interactions with the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
The service is available to taxpayers, tax advisors and businesses. It allows registered users to easily file returns and returns, make payments, and contact SARS for tax-related matters, including taxes, duties, levies, and contributions.
