Sen. Johannes Fetterman (D-Pa.) tore some Republicans in Congress when Stephen Colbert questioned him about his “wonderful meme recreation” throughout Wednesday’s broadcast of “The Late Present.”
Colbert requested Fetterman if it was uncomfortable seeing the folks across the Capitol about whom he had “put up a devastating meme.”
“You need to all know that America doesn’t ship their finest and brightest to Washington DC,” Fetterman responded.
“Generally you actually cannot consider that these individuals are making the selections that run the federal government right here, it is truly scary,” he continued, noting how the federal authorities got here so near shutting down due to a handful of Republicans.
“You’ve some very much less gifted folks on the market who’re prepared to close down the federal government simply to attain factors on Fox,” he added.
