Audio streaming platform Spotify was available again to most users, the company said Wednesday, after a brief outage that disrupted service for tens of thousands of users worldwide.
The company did not disclose the number of users affected by the outage, but outage tracking website Downdetector.com showed more than 20,000 incidents in the United States and more than 8,000 in the UK at the height of the outage. The site tracks outages by collecting status reports from resources, including user-submitted errors on the platform.
“Everything looks much better now!said Spotify Status in a tweet.
Many users took to Twitter to share updates and memes about the service outage, with “Spotify” trending at number seven in the US.
Earlier this year, Spotify had two short outages. In January, Downdetector reported that the audio streaming platform’s outage affected more than 45,000 users in the United States.
Everything looks much better now! To give @SpotifyCares a shout if you still need help.
