Institute to Demonstrate Generative AI and Robotics Capabilities with NOORSPARK and LOLA at the Continent’s Leading Technology Event at Bab Jdid, from Booth B30 in Hall 1 May 31 – June 2; the TII experts to lead key conference sessions and share insights on generative AI, 5G and cybersecurity.

The Technology Innovation Institute (TII), a leading global scientific research center and the applied research pillar of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), today announced its participation in GITEX Africa 2023. In addition to showcasing its successful NOORSPARK and LOLA generative AI innovations, TII is sending four of its key subject matter experts to bolster the knowledge component of the event.

Scheduled from May 31 to June 2 at the Bab Jdid in the Moroccan capital, Marrakesh, TII will showcase as a bronze sponsor and event exhibitor its generative AI demo, NOORSPARK, a volumetric LED display that showcases the dynamic and visual iteration of NOOR Arabic NLP -fashion model. Through verbal and written activation, NOORSPARK allows users to interact with it in real time – providing an unparalleled opportunity to connect with one of the most groundbreaking technologies in the world.

Visitors to the TII booth B30 in hall 1 can also interact with the user-friendly interface LOLA (intelligent action level assistant) that helps to use each robot arm for different manipulation tasks, such as assembly in production, intervention in hazardous environments or helping people in their day-to-day healthcare activities.

Developed in-house at TII’s Autonomous Robotics Research Center (ARRC), LOLA represents a multifaceted approach to deploying robotic manipulators to collaborate with humans, augment human capabilities, and improve efficiency and productivity across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. Regardless of their technical background, visitors can participate in TII’s version of peg-solitaire with LOLA and use the robotic arm to color the tools and deliver the building blocks to complete the task in the shortest possible time.

Dr. Ray O. Johnson, CEO, Technology Innovation Institute said ahead of GITEX Africa 2023: “Following a great showing at GITEX GLOBAL last year, we look forward to partnering with GITEX Africa to mark our entry into this continent of opportunity. The telecommunication and digital revolution is still evolving and the growth prospects are immense. TII is excited about attracting talent, networking with industry peers and meeting with potential customers to raise awareness of our R&D and build long-term synergies across industries and regions.”

In addition to these AI-powered demos at the TII booth, Dr. Johnson will join a fireside chat at the CEO Forum between 11:10 and 11:30 a.m. on June 1 between 11:10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the Innovation Stage in Exhibition Hall 10 to explore the meaning of “Technology as a tool to future-proof our world.” to make”.

Later, at the same location, Dr. Thierry Lestable, Executive Director, AI and Digital Science Research Center (AIDRC), explaining the Connectivity and 5G journey on “Paving the way to NextGen Sustainable Digital Cities infrastructure: Disruption with AI & B5G/6G networks”.
